Eye of the Tiger by Bill Blast, 1982

A walk down memory lane – it was in summer of 1990 when I hold Spraycan Art in my hands for the first time and I was 5 years old when Bill Blast did this piece. This piece was in my mind for a long time and in the last weeks I have been in the right mood to work out this tribute for Bill Blast. The piece of him always was an eyecatcher in Spraycan Art and it was one of the burners that worked without letters.

The background of the piece was inspiring me for years and the message of the piece was outstanding. In the last time I did a lot of space backgrounds and had some influences of the 80’s graphics so I felt confident enough to do it and pay my respect to Bill Blast with this piece.

At least it took me over a month to finish it because of rain and work but overall I’m very proud of the finished piece. I hope that the older ones between us can wallow in memorys with that piece and maybe the younger ones try to explore the old school and learn something from the true artists of that era.
